artist statement
I am a trained visual artist and painter, starting from the year 2013. Throughout the journey my work I have chosen to explore my conscience and unconscious mind as I learned to be in tune with myself in order to help others do the same thing.

With the goal of art therapy in my mind, I am always interested in the meaning (or sometimes lack of meaning) in what I create. I focus on the mindset and emotion I experience when making new pieces. I think about where I am in life, or simply I happen to felt that particular day. I use my past works to understand me.

When I go about my work, I analyze the relationships between objects and my own state of mind in conventional and unconventional ways. My normal construction of pieces involves still lives to challenge the norm of realism. My ideas sometimes add to or subtract objects from a scene considered normal, to add a sense of surrealism, sometimes to display my own mentality.

I use my art this way in hopes of inspiring others in my future career. Art therapy is about using different art forms as self-expression to get many to explain or define their own struggles, trauma, etc. This is not a way to diagnose by any means, but it can be used as a healthy outlet or stepping stone. I use this therapeutic process and perspective on myself for general practice and understanding of the simplest art therapeutic methods.

My vision for my works is to experiment with different materials and create new and interesting scenes with them. As a whole my works do not connect on a fundamental level and I don’t want them to. My art is used to outwardly show different parts of my personality and deeper parts of my mind. They are a biography of myself, that I can look back on in the future.
